Privacy Policy
Last updated November 3, 2026.
This policy explains how Stethopedia (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you use stethopedia.ca and the Stethopedia app.
Information we collect. When you browse the website, our hosting provider receives standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. If you create an app account, we collect your name, email address and institution, and we store your settings and study progress. If you email us, we keep your message and email address.
How we use it. We use personal information only to provide, secure and improve Stethopedia, to run your app account, and to respond to you. We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Service providers. We rely on trusted providers to operate Stethopedia: Cloudflare hosts and protects the website, and Supabase stores app data and manages sign-in. Videos are embedded from YouTube and VideoPress, whose own privacy policies apply when you play a video. These providers may store and process information outside Canada.
Cookies. The website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The app uses cookies or similar storage only to keep you signed in.
Retention and security. We keep personal information only as long as needed for these purposes, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your rights. You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or close your app account, by contacting us.
Patient information. Do not enter information that could identify a patient anywhere on Stethopedia.
Changes. We may update this policy from time to time and will post the new version on this page.
